The warm conditions persist, but not much longer

Big changes are on the way as we head into next week, but the weekend still looks terrific!

A strong series of storms, accompanied by an atmospheric river of moisture will bring rain to Northern California this weekend, and by midweek, that rain drops into SoCal just in time for Chirstmas.

Highs will still range in the lower 80s through the weekend, but drop significantly next week.

Heavy rain moves into California through the weekend, and intensifies into next week.

We have issued a First Alert Weather Alert starting Wednesday morning and lasting through early Thursday afternoon (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) for significant rain. Early projections indicate rain total ranging from 0.50" to 1.50" from late Tuesday through Thursday. Heavier rain is expected in the high desert and our local mountains. The system is relatively warm, so the snowline is above 8,000 feet.
