Firebirds fall 3-2 to Condors for second straight loss

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) - The Coachella Valley Firebirds lost 3-2 to the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday at Dignity Health Arena.

The Condors scored three unanswered goals over the span of all three periods. Bakersfield's offense was a one-man show, with Isaac Howard completing a hat trick.

The Firebirds responded with two straight goals, following Howard's third and final goal.

Jagger Firkus buried his 13th goal of the season, and Eduard Sale scored his third goal of the year to trail with one.

Victor Ostman started in net for CV and saved 27 shots on goal.

The Firebirds fall to a 14-8-4 record on the season. Coachella Valley will head back home and play the Abbotsford Canucks on Saturday, December 27th. Puck drop is at 6 PM.
