First Alert Weather Alert for significant rain developing

First Alert Weather Alert goes into effect tomorrow as rain develops overnight. A massive "atmospheric river" storm approaching will bring up to 2.00" of rain to the Valley and as much as 5.00" to 6.00" of rain to mountain communities. The storm will be most intense tomorrow midday, but we're like to see rain develop in the early morning hours of tomorrow.

The heaviest rainfall likely between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. as the strongest band of precipitation moves through SoCal.

A Flood Watch goes into effect at 10 this evening and will remain in effect for 24 hours.

Rainfall total will continue increase through Thursday (Christmas) morning.

Temps will cool down to near seasonal averages for the remainder of the week, with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
