Winds pick up late week, temperatures below seasonal averages

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — Temperatures remain below seasonal averages today with a high near 83 degrees, but a warming trend will bring highs back toward the 90s by Friday.

Those warmer temperatures will come alongside Santa Ana winds, which are forecast to blow from Thursday through Saturday with the strongest winds expected on Friday. Expect a gusty end to the week.

Although a slight warming trend will bring temperatures back toward the 90s, an early look at the start of next week shows highs returning to the 80s as fall temperatures take hold.
