Warmer than usual for the end of January!

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – We've made it to the weekend – and the final day of January! We have some warm weather on tap throughout Saturday and Sunday (and really, into next week, too) as we roll on into the second month of the year.

We're still seeing pleasantly cool morning temperatures before climbing into the 70s as you're headed out the door for brunch at 9:30 or 10:00. Temps continue to warm, likely in the upper 70s by lunchtime.

Daytime highs valley-wide are expected in the low 80s – very similar compared to Friday, when we hit 83 degrees.

Other portions of the country remain under winter weather advisories, like Extreme Cold Warnings (in blue) and Winter Storm Warnings (in pink). We're certainly seeing warmer and less active weather locally.

Locally, we've been on quite the warm stretch, especially since Thursday, when highs jumped back into the 80s.

We look to stay in those 80s for the foreseeable future. Highs remain in the low 80s through the weekend and early next week, before temperatures could warm further by midweek. High pressure is dominating, and we're certainly feeling it!
