Firebirds back in the win column with dominant 5-1 game against Ontario Reign
THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) – The Coachella Valley Firebirds completed a 5-1 win over the Ontario Reign on the road on Sunday.

The Reign managed to net one goal by Jack Hughes shortly after Roed, but that would be their only for the night.
The Firebirds and Reign were tied for shots on goal in the second period at nine, but Coachella Valley was the only team get shots to land. At 4:27 Mitchell Stephens netted one and extended the Firebirds lead to 3-1. Near the end of the period, Roed came in for his second of the night for 4-1.
In the third period, the Reign struggled with shots on goal, having just two compared to the Firebirds nine.
Firkus sealed the deal with his second and final goal of the game at 9:34 in the third period. The goal stirred tension on the ice as it was a battle for the Firebirds to net it. Either way, the Firebirds are back in the win column.
