BREAKING: One person in custody after shots fired at White House Correspondents’ Dinner

UPDATE 4/25 7:30 p.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KESQ) - A Secret Service spokesperson says a 30-year-old man from California is now in custody after shots were fired at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Officials say a Secret Service agent's protective vest was hit by a bullet and was transported to a Washington hospital.

The dinner has since been rescheduled, with President Trump expected to address reporters at the White House soon.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KESQ) - One person is in custody after several gunshots were heard at the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday evening.

President Donald Trump and his family were removed to a secure location after the booms were heard.

Video from the dinner shows panic amongst the crowd as the loud sounds are heard.

A Secret Service Spokesman says 'all protectees are safe' and they are now investigating a 'shooting incident' at the dinner.

No injuries have been reported.
