Typical summertime forecast this week

Highs will run very close to our seasonal norms this week as high pressure builds across the southern tier of the country.

Some areas will see highs a few degrees above our seasonal norm of 108, and there are Extreme Heat Warnings in areas surrounding the Valley, but we are not included in those warnings.

I'm looking for a high of 109 later this afternoon.

Dew points this week are a bright spot for us, with slightly drier conditions anticipated most of the week. A little more humidity moves in by late Thursday.

Highs will hover near 110, so about 2 degrees above normal throughout the week and into the weekend.
