COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - The Cahuilla people of the Coachella Valley bet big on casinos, now employing thousands and generating millions in economic activity. But just decades ago, none of this existed.

"Even to this day, we're still struggling."

After generations of displacement and discrimination, one local band took a gamble that would change this area forever.
