Wrapping up Summer with below seasonal temperatures

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — Drier dew points continue to make conditions more comfortable.

Highs will reach the century mark today but will not climb toward 110 degrees.

The trough in the Pacific Northwest continues to dominate the weather pattern in Southern California, helping bring the cooler temperatures as monsoonal moisture continues to funnel East.

Winds have become more prominent over the last few days, with gusts reaching 28 mph this morning in Thousand Palms.

Fall officially begins Tuesday, and forecasts show below-seasonal-average highs leading up to the end of summer.
