Raymond Kalra joined News Channel 3 as a Multimedia Journalist in August of 2026.

Originally from Acworth, Georgia, Raymond graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Journalism and Emerging Media.

Before joining News Channel 3, Raymond gained experience at both the local and national levels, including internships with FOX 5 Atlanta and NBC News TODAY in New York City. During his time with TODAY, he worked alongside journalists at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, and gained firsthand experience in national news production and storytelling.

Raymond’s passion for journalism began at a young age. Today, he enjoys telling stories that introduce viewers to the people who make their communities unique, while also helping viewers better understand the issues that affect their everyday lives.

Outside of the newsroom, Raymond is a lifelong hockey fan who played the sport for 15 years. He also enjoys keeping up with entertainment and pop culture, exploring Southern California and spending time with family and friends.

Raymond is excited to call the Coachella Valley home, and looks forward to sharing the stories of the people and communities that make the desert special.
