INDIO, Calif. (KESQ) - Drivers heading to HeadTrip in Indio this weekend should prepare for traffic delays and road restrictions, according to Indio police.

Sgt. Abraham Plata said police will have additional traffic officers and increased patrols in the surrounding area, including officers watching for impaired drivers.

According to Indio police, Avenue 50 is completely closed between Madison Street and Monroe Street. Monroe Street will also be closed to pedestrian traffic between Avenue 49 and Avenue 52 over the weekend.
