INDIO, Calif. (KESQ) — Democratic candidate for governor Xavier Becerra joined Assembly candidate Dr. Ida Obeso-Martinez for a campaign rally in Indio Saturday, encouraging supporters to make their voices heard ahead of the November 3 election.

Obeso-Martinez is running to represent Assembly District 36. Becerra, a former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and California attorney general, is running against Republican Steve Hilton for governor.

During the rally, speakers emphasized working together and encouraged attendees to return their ballots. Supporters also urged voters to pay attention to local races, including city councils and special districts.
