Palm Springs Pride expected to bring another business boost with festivities underway

KESQ

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) – Palm Springs Pride is bringing business to the Coachella Valley.

Beyond restaurants and hotels, even barber shops and food stalls said they were expecting another successful year during Palm Springs Pride.

The owner of Elowtito's, Jennifer Gutierrez, had a stall set up in the Arenas District. She said it was her third year at Pride, selling diablitos, loaded potatoes, street tacos, and more. Each night, they typically make around $2,000 to $3,000 in sales.

"We'll see how it plays out. But the past few years it's been a good turnout for us. I can't complain," she said.

Though Friday was just the first night of Pride, it was busy around town. Long lines spilled out of the bars on the Arenas District.
