Palm Desert residents show support for Class of 2020

Tonight, Palm Desert residents gathered in a show of support for students graduating as part of the Class of 2020.

Classic cars were driven along El Paseo with signs saying "We are proud of you, Class of 2020." Those who participated in tonight's event said they wanted to do something to show young people in the community how important they are, adding that this was part of a larger campaign for the city called "Unite Palm Desert."

Tonight's message was very clear: even though there wasn't a traditional graduation, it was important for the volunteers to make graduates feel special and celebrated.
