Comfortable conditions to start the new week

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — It's the last Sunday of summer, and temperatures are providing an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, with a high of around 100 degrees.

The low pressure from the Pacific Northwest continues to move farther east. It should be far enough east to pull the main trough axis over Southern California, increasing winds and bringing cooler temperatures on Monday.

Dew points remain favorable, below the 50-degree mark for the most part. The dry conditions have been a nice change from the muggy summer we've experienced.

The week looks to be full of comfortable highs near or just above the century mark as we end summer and start fall on Tuesday.
