Injury traffic collision in Palm Springs

The intersection of E. Ramon Road and S. Sunrise Way reopened to traffic at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, according to PSPD after an injury traffic collision.

Palm Springs Police have shut down the intersection of E. Ramon Road and S. Sunrise Way after a traffic collision that left two people injured. The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers say two cars were involved in the crash and both drivers were still inside when officers responded. They both sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Officers say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. They have shut down the intersection in all directions until further notice.
