Rain chances move back by Wednesday

Yesterday Palm Springs reached a high temperature of 71°. The average this time of year is around 73°. Today will be warmer than yesterday with Sunday being the warmest day this week. A ridge of high pressure will build, creating an offshore flow that will contribute to a warmer and drier weekend for the Coachella Valley.

The next couple of days will be mild and comfortable with plenty of sunshine and warmer than normal temperatures.

Big changes move in by Wednesday. A cold and wet low-pressure system will position itself over Northern California with a wide circulation that will drop our temperatures and bring rain and snow back to the region. Heavy rain will be possible during the Thanksgiving holiday. Use caution while driving and plan for extra time on the roadways. Temperatures are expected to dip between 10°-15° below average.
