Fire breaks out in abandoned Coachella strip mall
More than a dozen firefighters have contained a structure fire in Coachella.
It broke out along the 48,000 block of Grapefruit Boulevard around 6:15 Sunday. Firefighters said that when they arrived on the scene, they saw smoke coming from an abandoned strip mall.
Cal Fire said the building was well engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported and there was no word on the cause.
