Women who lead luncheon held in Rancho Mirage, Trina Turk serves as keynote speaker

The Coachella Valley’s female leaders and role models will be celebrated today during the Women Who Lead Luncheon in Rancho Mirage.

The sold out event hosted by fashion designer and keynote speaker Trina Turk will honor six local business and community leaders at the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage.

The Women Who Lead honorees will be awarded in three categories. The Business Leader category includes Tracy Conrad, CEO of the Smoke Tree Ranch homes in Palm Springs, and Kelly McLean Lewin, vice president of McLean CompanyRentals, which represents hundreds of vacation rental properties in the Coachella Valley.

The Community Non-Profit category includes Cynthia H. Breunig, CEO and president of the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council, and Victory Grund, president and founder of Old Town Artisan Studios in La Quinta.

The Rising Star category includes Michelle Castillo, founder of Wyld Womxn, a Coachella Valley feminist collective, and Candice Held, owner of Candice Held Home Decor Collections in Palm Desert.

A portion of the luncheon’s proceeds will go to benefit Girlfriend Factor, which provides grants to local women pursuing higher education.

The event begins with a reception at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m.
