Palm Springs Mayor Robert Moon back home after health scare

Update – 5/24/18:

Mayor Moon is back home after undergoing tests at Desert Regional Medical Center.

He told KESQ’s John White that doctors are confident he suffered a heart spasm caused by stress.

He said he plans to rest for a couple of days and then attend a number of events for Memorial Day in full naval officer uniform.

Original Story – 5/23/18:

Palm Springs Mayor Robert Moon was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after being checked-out for what he’s calling “heart spasms.”

Moon was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center after experiencing some discomfort at city hall.

News Channel 3’s John White spoke with him on the phone shortly after 9 p.m.

Moon said he is doing fine and has the best cardiologist in Palm Springs. He added that he is undergoing some additional tests out of an “abundance of caution.”
