Collision slows traffic on I-10

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert Friday morning in Indio west of Washington Street after a collision involving a motorist in a white Hyundai, a pickup truck, and a red semi truck hauling gasoline.

The collisions were reported at 7:32 a.m.

No injuries were reported, but debris was scattered across all the freeway’s westbound traffic lanes.

Traffic was backing up westbound on the freeway more than 2 miles back to Jefferson Street.

Our news crew at the scene said all lanes were reopened as of 8:20 a.m. but traffic was still slow.

Eastbound traffic lanes were also slowing.
