My Thai Player of the Year (Winter & Spring) — Pimentel & Woodworth

The school year has come to an end and it was time to pick two student athletes to be named My Thai Player of the Year (Winter & Spring). The choice had to be a senior who was a previous Best Local Sports Show Student Athlete of the Week. The winner received a $1,000 check from My Thai in La Quinta to go towards their athletic program.

Male: Desert Mirage soccer stand out Alex Pimentel who racked up 101 goals in his career. He also was a 2-time CIF Champion and named this season the D4 CIF Player of the Year.

Female: La Quinta leading scorer in program history Tatiana Woodworth who finished her career with 80-goals. She also has the record for most assists. The Blackhawks finished unbeaten DVL Champions.while Woodworth was named the league’s offensive MVP.
