2 suspects in custody following Coachella shooting

Coachella Police were investigating a shooting in Coachella early Thursday morning.

Riverside County Sheriffs Deputy Armando Munoz confirmed to KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 News Sheriffs Deputies received a call around 4:15 a.m. of a shooting at a home on the 8400 block of Avenue 50.

Deputies reportedly saw a vehicle leaving the scene and tried to stop it.

A short pursuit was begun, but the suspects escaped.

A white pickup truck crashed into the front of a home on Balboa Street near the corner of Avenue 50.

Police later confirmed two suspects had been detained.

One was a woman who our reporter Jeremy Chen said was placed into the back of a police cruiser.

There was no word from authorities on any injuries from the shooting.
