Former PDHS tennis star advanced to 2nd round of US Open in women’s doubles

The US Open ended Saturday for 2013 Palm Desert graduate Desirae Krawczyk but not before she had advanced out of the first round in women’s doubles.

During the week Krawczyk and her partner Monique Adamczak defeated McNally/Osuigwe 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 before falling to the talented Barty/Vandeweghe 2-6, 5-7.

Krawcyk was an All-American high school tennis player here in the valley before going on to play for Arizona State.

She has made a surge the past few months in WTA beginning with a doubles title at the Ladies Championship Gstaad in Switzerland
