Road reopens after multi-vehicle crash
Palm Springs Police were on the scene of a multiple car crash on Gene Autry Trail at Tachevah Drive late Wednesday evening.
The crash was first reported at 8:35 p.m.
Police said three vehicles were traveling northbound on Gene Autry Trail when they collided, crossed over the center median and then into oncoming southbound traffic. A fourth vehicle was also struck, police said.
One woman was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
No other injuries were reported.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered factors in the collisions, police said.
A Caltrans crew was called to the scene to clean up a fuel spill in the in a southbound Gene Autry Trail lane.
The roadway reopened at 11:06 p.m. with some additional cleanup continuing into the night.
