Pick-up truck and semi truck crash in Coachella, one person suffers serious injuries
Two hospitalized following crash between a pickup truck and a semi truck in Coachella.
The crash happened at approximately 1:10 p.m. on the intersection of Highway 86 and Avenue 52. The first arriving fire crew reported one person trapped in their vehicle and another suffering from minor injuries.
According to Cal Fire, firefighters extricated the trapped person who suffered serious injuries. Both victims were transported to the hospital by a ground ambulance.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, however, we have been told that drugs and/or alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
