Triple motorcycle crash near Hemet results in major injuries

HEMET, Calif. – At least one person suffered major injuries in a three-motorcycle crash on a two-lane highway in the San Bernardino National Forest east of Hemet today.

The crash was reported at 2:50 p.m. on eastbound Highway 74 between Bee Canyon Truck Trail and Doe Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Riverside County Fire Department was at the scene, and the eastbound lanes of Highway 74 near the crash site were closed, the CHP said.

It was not clear how many people were injured, but the CHP reported at least one major injury.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
