Active death investigation underway in Rancho Mirage
A body was found Tuesday evening in Rancho Mirage.
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were conducting an active death investigation in the area of Monterey Avenue, north of Clancy Lane.
A KESQ & CBS Local 2 crew at the scene said the body was found on the north side of a Southern California Edison Substation in a field between Clancy and Verbenia Road.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department says there is no threat to public safety.
A gender or a possible cause of death is not available at this time.
