Woman killed in Whitewater crash identified
A woman killed Monday in a single vehicle crash on Interstate-10 in Whitewater has been identified.
37-year-old Tara Brown of Morongo Valley was ejected from the vehicle after the vehicle she was in veered off the eastbound I-10 into an embankment and collided with multiple rocks and a large dirt berm and landed on its roof.
The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before swerving off the right shoulder into the embankment.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:54 a.m. and Brown died at 4:56 a.m.
The vehicle, a 2015 Toyota Corolla, was driven by 33-year-old Juan Franco of Yucca Valley. He was partially ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by American Medical Response to Desert Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

CHP says Franco was arrested at Desert Regional after allegedly exhibiting indications of alcohol intoxication and was arrested at Desert Regional Medical center.
