Student Athlete of the Week – Justin Wickstrand

“When I was in the band someone told me I looked like the guy from How I Met Your Mother, said I look like Marshall,” Justin Wickstrand said.

Well no not exactly but you could have fooled me but nobody fools this guy in the pool as Wickstrand is a wicked good water polo goalie.

“Pillar of our defense and actually our whole team. He progressed so much. He works very very hard in-season and off season. He is one of our leaders,” Pavol Valovic said.

Wants to stop much more important things then the round ball here in the future.

“Changing the world and making it a better place. I have always thought the policy behind that is kind of the gate way to making the world a better place. Just wanted to be a part of that,” Wickstrand said.

Already life experiences changing the way this senior lives his life.

“I went on an immergence trip last year as a junior I went down to Nogales, Arizona by Mexico on the border. Met some immigrants there. Worked along side them and just really struck a cord with me and has been a passion of mine,” Wickstrand said.

Hopefully someday make a chance of what it means world wide to raise the flag.

“I can identify most countries by their flags. About 120,” Wickstrand said.>
