Double homicide suspect shot by deputies live streamed pursuit on Facebook

A man being chased by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies live streamed it all on Facebook before shots were fired.

Roger Tindell, 36, of Morongo Valley was shot by deputies after the pursuit. He was allegedly driving a vehicle he stole after shooting the owner.

The video shows Tindell with a loaded gun pointing it toward the camera and himself several times. You can hear sirens wailing as Tindell leads police on a chase through parts of Yucca Valley and Morongo Valley. An alleged hostage in the car with him.

Tindell would lead police on a pursuit until he crashed into a patrol vehicle at a Morongo Valley neighborhood where some of his family lived.

The Sheriff’s Department says Tindell then opened fire on police before he was struck by gunfire from one of the deputies.

Tindell remains hospitalized and will be booked into jail as soon as he is released from the hospital. It is unknown how long he will remain hospitalized.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Tindell is a suspect in a double homicide in Nevada. According to our sister station in Las Vegas, those murders occurred on October 12.
