Costumes and creatures come alive at Living Desert Howl-O-Ween

The Living Desert came alive with a variety of different creatures Saturday morning — witches, power rangers and princesses filled the zoo with Halloween spirit.

Kids and families decked out in costumes enjoyed carnival games, live music, trick-or-treat trails, face painting, arts and crafts, and a monster maze.

All the regular animal exhibits were also available to explore with spooky themed decor lining the pathways and landscapes throughout the zoo.

The event was free for members and $10 for non-members. Parents are invited to bring the family on Halloween night for similar family fun.

Kids ages 12 and under can bring a reusable sack to collect candy on Halloween night, Wednesday, October 31st from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m at the Living Desert located at 47900 Portola Ave, Palm Desert, CA 92260.
