If your helping make your child’s costume and plan on using face paint, watch out for the ingredients. The FDA does not approve color additives in face paint. They say a color that’s ok for hair and nails may not be ok for skin. If an ingredient isn’t FDA approved, experts suggest not using the product at all.
Take some care when carving pumpkins. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission says out of 45-hundred Halloween-related injuries last year, 41 percent were linked to making jack-o-lanterns.
