Palm Desert Girls Tennis to play in CIF Quarterfinals

The Palm Desert Girls Tennis team will play against Ruben Ayala High School in the quarterfinal round of the division two CIF Southern Section tournament.

Head coach Morgan McIntosh stopped by the KESQ and CBS Local 2 studios for a “Sunday Sit down” interview with Alex Cheney.

“In four years we haven’t got past the first round in CIF. So the quarterfinals, I think that’s the first time in eight years we’ve been this far,” said McIntosh. “So this is huge for Palm Desert athletics, huge for me as a coach, and for my girls.”

“I honestly think we can do it on Monday. And depending on the draw for the semis, I mean right now there’s no reason to think we cant do this. But one at a time.”
