New neighborhood data tool gives insight into local needs

Residents can now access a trove of information to better understand social issues in the Coachella Valley through charts, graphs, maps and numbers.

Neighbors can now explore free, public and localized data through the Lift to Rise portal called “The Neighborhood Data for Social Change Program.”

The goal is to equip communities with the numbers and background they need to prompt social change and policy in areas of employment, food insecurity, housing, education, transportation and beyond.

The tool is intended to provide factual context for challenges communities face when it comes to racial and neighborhood disparities and inform community members on the realities of their regions through numbers.

NDSC was created in partnership with the USC Price Center for Social Innovation.

Life to Rise will host training workshops for interested community members starting December 12. Contact info@lifttorise.org to register.
