Police are investigating a shooting in Indio.

Indio Police Lieutenant Jason Hapner confirmed a man has been hospitalized after being shot near the intersection of Monroe Street and John Nobles.
Hapner said they did not know the condition of the victim at this time. Police are currently in the area investigating. Hapner said there is no threat to public safety.

Yesterday two people were shot near the AM/PM on Jefferson and Avenue 42.
Indio police Sgt. Dan Marshall confirmed one victim sustained minor injuries. The second victim remains in the hospital in an unknown condition. At this time, no arrests have been announced.
