Suspect wanted in theft at Indio jewelry store

Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly stole a bracelet at a jewelry store in Indio.

According to the Indio Police Department, a man entered the Don Victor Jewelers store on
Hwy 111 on Jan. 4.

Officers say the man told the clerk “his mother wanted him to pick out an item and she was going to open an account with the business to purchase the jewelry.”

When the man had the $8,000 bracelet in his hands, he fled the store, according to police.
