La Quinta water polo wins CIF Championship

La Quinta girls water polo won the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Championship on Saturday at the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine. La Quinta beat Dana Hills High School 11-8. The Blackhawks also won the Desert Empire League girls water polo championship this season. This is the first water polo CIF championship for La Quinta High School.
