Fire torches patio cover in Indio

A fire Sunday damaged an Indio house, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 8:07 p.m. in a single-family home on the 83000 block of Avenue 44, the Riverside County Fire Department said.

First arriving units determined the patio cover was well-involved with flames, fire officials said.

Firefighters put out the flames at 8:27 p.m. officials said. No injuries were reported.
