Anza woman dies nearly two months after being attacked by 3 dogs

The woman attacked by three pit bulls while doing laundry outside her Anza home has died, according to her family.

According to Cal Fire, Angela Johnson, 54, was attacked on the morning of Dec. 15 on the 55000 Block of Mitchell Road in Anza. Johnson was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Family announced Johnson passed away on Feb. 9.

The dogs, all three pit bull or pit bull mixes, were held in protective custody at the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus. All three dogs were euthanized on Jan 7.

John Welsh, the senior public information specialist for Riverside County Animal Services, said the owner of the dogs was arrested by a sheriff’s deputy after the incident. Welsh added that the owner had an outstanding felony warrant.
