Emergency HWY 111 closure set for Wednesday
Northbound Highway 111 will be closed for a period of time Wednesday to repair damages caused during the valley’s Valentine’s Day storm, according to a California Department of Transportation news release.
The roadway will be closed northbound from Snow Creek to Chino Canyon from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Feb 27.
Northbound travelers will be detoured to Indian Canyon Drive to Interstate 10 as an alternate route.
Drivers passing through the open section of the road are advised to reduce their speed in the work zone.
Highway 111 experienced a partial closure during the Feb. 14 storm due to mud, rocks, and debris spilling onto the road.
