Homicide investigation underway after body found in Thermal

A homicide investigation is underway after a dead body was found in Thermal on Tuesday morning.

At around 6:26 a.m. Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a possible dead body near the intersection of Avenue 58 and Buchanan Street in Thermal. When deputies arrived on the scene, they located a man who’d died.

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Thermal station and detectives from the Riverside County Central Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The cause of death is not known at this time. The dead man has not been identified.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help to find out more information on the incident.
