Boyfriend Arrested For Attempted Murder

PALM SPRINGS – A Beaumont man is behind bars, today, charged with trying to kill his girlfriend.

The victim told police her boyfriend, 48-year-old Claude Sessoms, got into an argument with her, hit her in the face, and choked her.

Afterward, the two got into the car and drove, where Sessoms allegedly threw her cellular phone out of the window when she tried to call for help. It was then, she claims, he threw her out of the moving car.

She suffered bruises, scrapes, and cuts, but is expected to be ok.

Sessoms turned himself into Palm Springs police after they repeatedly tried to locate him. He’s been charged with attempted murder, terrorist threats, attempting to prevent a victim from reporting, and violation of a domestic violence restraining order.

He’s being held on $500,000 bail at the Palm Springs Jail.
