Two Injured In Multi-Car Accident In Coachella

Two motorists were hurt today in a four-vehicle crash that shut down a Coachella roadway for about an hour, a sheriff’s deputy said.

The crash was reported at 8:08 a.m. on Avenue 52 at Van Buren Street, said Deputy Melissa Nieburger of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Two of the drivers complained of pain and were taken to a hospital to be checked out, Nieburger said.

Both sides of Avenue 52 were shut down for about an hour while crews cleaned up the wreckage and some spilled oil, according to Nieburger.
