Campaign To Help Earthquake Victims in Mexicali

96.7 FM La Poderosa, working with the Mexican Consulate in Calexico, the Church of Our Lady of Soledad in Coachella and Palm Desert Adventist Church, is holding a donation drive to support the victims of the 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Mexicali.

The quake caused extensive damage to homes and crops. Entire families are sleeping out in the open with no beds, food and other essential items.

Please donate:

? Tents

? Mattresses (new or used in good condition)

? Blankets (new or used in good condition)

? Insect repellent

? Sunscreen

? Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, diapers, feminine sanitary napkins, toilet paper, etc.).

? Bottled water

? Canned food

Not accepted:

? Used clothing

? Used shoes

? Medications

Volunteers will take donations in the parking lot behind the Church of Our Lady of Soledad in Coachella Friday from 1 to 6 p.m.
