Armed Robbery Suspects Sought by Police

Three men who held up a person in Cathedral City at gunpoint and stole his backpack remained at large.

The robbery happened at 11:40 a.m. Friday on Baristo Road at Landau Boulevard, when three men pulled up to the victim in a car. One man pointed a pistol at the victim and demanded his backpack, which he handed over, said Police Sgt. Andrew Diaz.

The suspects drove away to the east on Baristo Road and turned south on Avenida La Paloma in a white, four-door, late 1990s model Honda Accord with tinted windows. The first four characters on the license plate are 4DBH, Diaz said.

The three suspects are Hispanic male adults between 18 and 20 years old with bald heads. Each was wearing a baggy t-shirt, either white or black, he said.

Diaz asked anybody with information about the incident to call the Cathedral City Police Department at (760) 770-0303.
