Friends And Family Remember Golfer Erica Blasberg

Friends, family and other mourners are gathering in Southern California to remember LPGA golfer Erica Blasberg, whose death last week remains under investigation.

The 25-year-old’s silver coffin was flanked by flowers and her red and white golf bag Wednesday at a public memorial in her hometown of Corona.

The memorial will include speeches from family and friends as well as a video tribute. A private burial will follow in Corona Del Mar.

Blasberg was preparing for a tournament when she died May 9 at her home in Henderson, Nev. Coroner’s officials are still investigating her death. Police say they haven’t ruled out any cause, but won’t say whether they suspect foul play.

Blasberg was in her sixth season on the LPGA tour.
