Foreclosures Drop Double Digits In Riverside County

The number of foreclosed homes auctioned off last month in Riverside County dropped by double digits, according to a real estate tracking firm.

Bay Area-based ForeclosureRadar.com reported that 2,101 repossessed properties were sold in the county in May, compared to 2,412 in April — a 13 percent dip.

Sales were down roughly 4 percent from a year ago, when 2,195 foreclosed homes ended up on the auction block, according to the firm’s monthly “California Foreclosure Report.”

Statewide, foreclosure sales slid 6 percent from April to May and were down 2 percent year-over-year.
