Power Lines Fall On Truck In Coachella

Power lines fell in Coachella, today, draping across a Coca Cola truck, trapping the driver.

KESQ crews on-the-scene tell us the incident happened at Valley Road and Morgan Avenue in Coachella.

Emergency crews were able to free the truck driver, but the fallen power lines knocked out power to the area for a short time. This is un-related to a similar outage in Indio, where more than 700 customers were without power.

Kids playing at nearby Valley View Elementary School were taken inside as a safety precaution.
